This meeting will include reports from the Minister, President, and Program Council Chair, as well as Bylaw changes, budget approval, and the election of officers, trustees, representatives, and other leaders.
Irregular Governing Board Meeting - June

Full Board cannot meet on the regular date so the meeting has been shifted back to the 19th of June. This meeting will include reports from Board members, liaisons, the minister and staff, and will address any topics brought before the Board as business items.
Role of the Governing Board
The role of the Governing Board is to oversee the administration of the church. This includes writing policy and procedures for governance claity in the congregation, presenting a budget to the congregation, oversight of fiscal responsibility, hiring and firing of staff, negotiating the Letter of Agreement with the minister, coordinating with the Program Council, and being the legal representative of the congregation.
The Board holds its regular meetings at least four times each year, including once to adopt the proposed budget for the next year in May. Currently, the Board meets monthly. These meetings are open to all members and staff, and anyone can address the Board on any topic for up to five minutes during an Open Forum at the beginning of the meeting.
