Advocacy Circle

Overview

PURPOSE
The purpose of Advocacy Circle is to broaden the range of knowledge of members of public issues being debated and to broaden the range of knowledge of organizations that engage in advocacy.  As the learning progresses members are afforded opportunities to express their views.

PERSONAL AUTONOMY
Personal autonomy of members means that there are no group decisions on issues or organizations.  Each member acts as an individual. Consequently all views are expressed.

MECHANICS
Members contribute names and contact information of organizations that advocate, to form a pool called the ROSTER.  Members select names from the ROSTER and contact the organizations indicating their interest in receiving communications. Correspondence is mostly by personal computer. In most cases members shall receive e-mails asking for action.  Members respond as they choose.

MEETINGS
Members shall choose when and where to hold meetings to share experiences.

INVITATION
Members and friends are invited to express interest to Sidney Ellis at 352.548.4864 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
