About Our Sermons

About our Sermons

Sermons are a way to discuss and think about our faith in a public context.  On their own, they can be an introduction to some of the views held by Unitarian Universalists.

Below are sermons from our minister, Rev. Meredith Garmon, several lay speakers, our former minister Rev. LoraKimJoyner, and other guest ministers.

Annual Animal Celebration and Blessing

Today we invite all species into our sanctuary as we celebrate our communities of mixed species. This is an intergenerational as well as interspecial service with lots of music, drama, reverence for life, and ending with an animal blessing where we acknowledge the beauty and gift of other species. Please insure that your animal is comfortably and adequately restrained, healthy, and would enjoy coming. Veg4Life will provide refreshments and dog treats.

This Week's Season Log and Guiding Source: This is the 7th Sunday of Spring and we focus on our 7th UU Principle: we affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of existence of which we are a part.
