Pollinator Garden Planting – Saturday, December 14

We are excited to announce a beautiful new addition to our grounds—a pollinator garden! This initiative, made possible through generous donations of time and materials from Bee City of Gainesville, the Florida Wildflower Foundation, and Bee Good Landscape, will create a vibrant space that supports bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other essential pollinators while adding beauty and biodiversity to our church grounds.

Pollinator gardens are not just ecologically significant—they’re also visually stunning. With colorful blooms and fluttering wildlife, they foster mindfulness, joy, and a deeper connection to nature.

We need your help to bring this vision to life! Join us on Saturday, December 14th, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to help plant the garden near our UU sign out front. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and make a meaningful contribution to our shared space. Light refreshments will be provided.

Sign up to volunteer for planting here.

There’s also an opportunity to watch and learn about the site prep on December 4th as Travis from Bee Good Landscape prepares the area. This is a great learning experience—perhaps you’ll want to plant your own someday. We will have more information about the time of the prep as we get closer to the date. If interested, please contact the office at uuoffice@uufg.org

Thank you for helping us create something impactful and lasting for our church and our local environment. We hope to see you on December 14th!

Let’s make this a bee-autiful success together!
