All over the world many people fear that we are on the verge of a third world war. How is this possible? What do military thinkers feel the possibilities are? And why is it that religious people are often part of the cause and the conflict?
This Sunday, we welcome guest speaker Paul Pritchard to our Fellowship’s pulpit. Paul Pritchard is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force. He began his military career in the U.S. Army as an intelligence officer and served as a combat reconnaissance company advisor in the South Vietnam Conflict. He received three Bronze Stars, Three Combat Air Medals, and other awards for his service.
Later, he was a staff member of Governor and President Jimmy Carter during which time he was reassigned to the US Air Force and served in a special intelligence program. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, University of Tennessee, Harvard, and the Industrial War College.
In another part of his life, he is a renown conservationist, having served in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration best known as NOAA, the first executive director of the Appalachian Trail Conference, deputy director of the U.S. Department of Interior during the Carter administration, president of the National Parks and Conservation Association and the National Park Trust and founding chairman of the Climate Institute.
He has authored two memoirs: A Young Man in War and Voyage of a Conservationist – a Memoir.
Sue Boone serves as worship associate, and James Chase reads our story for all ages. Tane’ DeKray provides musical accompaniment.
